Robson Undergoes Another Hip Surgery

Laura Robson is recovering from her second hip surgery in the past 18 months.The former British No. 1, who underwent her prior hip surgery in June 2018, posted this post-surgery photo on Instagram.Watch: Is Tennis Heading Toward Another Betting Scandal?"A decision was made this week to have another hip surgery and try [to] fix the pain for good," Robson posted on Instagram. "Very much hope to be back on court soon but in the meantime I can't wait to walk my dog without limping."
Hip issues limited the 25-year-old Robson to nine matches in 2019. She posted a 5-4 record.Robson reached a career-high rank of No. 27 in 2013, the same season she reached the Wimbledon fourth round.The left-handed Brit is perhaps best known for beating Kim Clijsters in the second round of the 2012 US Open in what was the Belgian's final professional match. ]]>
