Rasheed Bounced From ATP Board

The ATP Player Council has voted to remove Roger Rasheed from the ATP Board.Rasheed, who has coached Lleyton Hewitt, Gael Monfils and Grigor Dimitrov, was bounced from the board after voting for a controversial one-year prize money increase, The Daily Mail’s Mike Dickson reports.More: Tsitsipas Says No to Towel Rack, CoachingThe ATP Player Council, led by president Novak Djokovic, bounced Rasheed from the board after he voted in favor of a one-year proposal to increase prize money.Rasheed, who was in New York City training a team for the New York City Marathon, confirmed his dismissal to the Daily Mail, but did not detail the reason for his removal.
Players are seeking a longer pact and more substantial prize money increase from tournaments.At a players’ meeting prior to the Australian Open in January, Djokovic made a case for the players negotiating for more prize money and reportedly broached the subject of a player’s union.
