Garbine Muguruza disputes Svetlana Kuznetsova’s claim that the 14th-seeded Spaniard received “inappropriate” coaching during her 6-3, 6-4 Wimbledon fourth-round win.The pair are friends who have practiced together in Spain.Watch: Konta Conquers Halep, Bursts Into Wimbledon SemifinalsThe seventh-seeded Kuznetsova, who is fluent in Spanish and is coached by Spaniard Carlos Martinez, said Muguruza was receiving coaching from her physio during today’s match."It's her physio, she was talking to her all the time, we all speak Spanish," Kuznetsova said. "I know she acts like this all the time."Asked her reaction to Kuznetsova’s claims, the 2015 Wimbledon finalist said her box was cheering not coaching.“Well, they were cheering for me, I know,” Muguruza said. “She speaks Spanish. The coach is Spanish. They could perfectly understand everything they were saying.“Honestly, they were just cheering for me. I like when my team is behind me. But nothing really tactical or specific.”Muguruza's coach, Sam Sumyk, did not make the trip in London. Instead, Spanish Fed Cup captain and 1994 Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez is coaching her during the fortnight.Photo credit: Ashley Western/CameraSport ]]>
