Irina Khromacheva's desert decision has cost her a one-month suspension.The 271st-ranked Russian was hit with a one-month suspension for offering a player her spot in Indian Wells qualifying in exchange for cash, the Tennis Integrity Unit announced.More: World Collapses, Europe Defends Laver CupKhromacheva was found guilty of offering another player the opportunity to take her place in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open qualifying, in exchange for being paid the equivalent of the prize money she would have received if she had played the match.Khromacheva will serve a one month suspension, effective from September 19th, 2019.The 24-year-old Khromacheva, who reached a career-high doubles ranking of No. 41 in April, was initially suspended for three months and fined $3,000. Two months of the ban and all of the $3,000 fine are suspended on the basis that no further breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program are committed by the 2018 Bogota doubles champion.Photo credit: ITF ]]>
