Roger Federer could square off with 39-year-old Tommy Haas in his first match at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart. The 35-year-old 18-time major champion makes his return to the tour for the first time since winning the Miami title.

Federer, who owns 15 grass court titles, fell in the semifinals at Stuttgart last year to Dominic Thiem. Federer could face No.8-seeded Mischa Zverev in the quarterfinals and either No.3-seeded Tomas Berdych or No.7-seeded Gilles Simon in the semifinals. No.2-seeded Grigor Dimitrov and No.4-seeded Lucas Pouille are in the bottom half of the draw. The Swiss owns a 152-23 record on grass. ]]>
