Azarenka Set to Begin her Season at Auckland in Early January

Victoria Azarenka has announced that she will open her 2018 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand.

Azarenka will receive a wild card into the main draw. "I am very much looking forward to getting back on the court to compete in January and I can't think of a better place to start the 2018 season than in Auckland," the current World No.205 said.Azarenka has been dealing with child custody issues over her son Leo, but expects to be clear to begin her season at Auckland for the event which begins on January 2nd.Azarenka will be joined in Auckland by top seed Caroline Wozniacki, Julia Goerges, Barbora Strycova and Agnieszka Radwanska, as well as defending champion Lauren Davis. ]]>
