Tipsarevic Wins Chennai Title
By Chris Oddo
(January 6, 2013) --
Janko Tipsarevic
claimed his fourth career ATP title at the Aircel Chennai Open with a come from behind 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory against first-time finalist
Roberto Bautista Agut
of Spain.
After dropping the first set to the World No. 80, Tipsarevic rallied to win in his sixth appearance at the event. Last season Tipsarevic lost in the final to Milos Raonic.
The 28-year-old World No. 9 broke Agut in the third game of the decider and held on from there. He did not face a break point in the second or third set, and he converted on four of seven of his own break opportunities to take control.
