dominika cibulkova korean open 
(September 19, 2011) In the South Korean leg of the Asian swing, Dominika Cibulkova highlighted the first day of play at the Hansol Korean Open. Cibulkova, seeded 4th, beat out Arantxa Parra Santonja 6-3, 7-5 to move on to the next round.

She said of the match, “it's my first match in Asia this season and it's always hard to play without enough practice […]But I'm sure my game will get better. I'm still looking forward to my first WTA title - that's my main goal and the reason I came here."

In other matches, Klara Zakopalova defeated Japanese contender Ayumi Morita 6-3, 6-4 and Alexandra Dulgheru moved past Arantxa Rus 2-6, 6-0, 7-5. 

Tomorrow will see play from Marion Bartoli, Francesca Schiavone and Julia Goerges.
