How is Alejandro Davidovich Fokina - a prodigious, eye-catching talent if there ever was one - still without an ATP title? We may not have to ask that question after Sunday.

The Spaniard powered into the Delray Beach Open final on Saturday, defeating Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi 6-4 6-4 to reach his second ATP final, and first since 2022, when he played the Monte-Carlo final after defeating Novak Djokovic in the second round.
The 25-year-old, who ended the reign of defending two-time champion Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals on Friday, backed up his win with an impressive display against 38th-ranked Arnaldi, avenging a loss from last week’s Dallas Open and improving to 1-2 lifetime against the 23-year-old.
Davidovich Fokina cracked 13 winners and saved six of eight break points in the one hour and 42 minute contest. After a trade of breaks in the first, the Spaniard broke critically for 5-4 and served out the set in the next game.
In the second set Davidovich Fokina rallied from a break down and swept through the final four games.
He will face Miomir Kecmanovic, who took out American Alex Michelsen, 7-6(3), 6-3, in Sunday’s final.
Kecmanovic is bidding for his second career title, and first since 2020 Kitzbubel.
