Casper Ruud completed a hat-trick at Geneva on Saturday, finishing off Flavio Cobolli in the semifinals before defeating Tomas Machac in the final to earn his third title in Switzerland, and his 12th ATP title overall.

Ruud saved a match point and defeated Cobolli 1-6, 6-1, 7-6(4) in the last four before returning to court and toppling Tomas Machac 7-5, 6-3 in the final.

“It was a challenging week," Ruud said. "All the matches are tough, no matter who you play. Tough to find a groove, the weather has been a bit challenging all week but today was fantastic. I feel very happy to win again here in Geneva. It’s been a very good season so far.”

Ruud is seeded seventh at Roland-Garros, where he has reached the final on his last two appearances. He will face Brazilian qualifier Felipe Meligeni Alves in the first round, and is projected to face top-seeded Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals, if the seeds hold.

Ruud improves to 35-9 on the season with his win.
