In an all-American final, a commanding Keys swept red-hot Danielle Collins 6-1, 6-2 to win her eighth career championship in Strasbourg.
On her fifth championship point, Keys danced around her backhand and rocketed a forehand return sealing a powerful 72-minute triumph with her sixth break in 16 break-point chances.
In the first final clash between the friends, Keys overpowered one of the sport's hardest hitters cracking 22 winners compared to just 11 unforced errors. In contrast, Collins hit 10 winners against 17 unforced errors.
Miami Open and Charleston champion Collins took the court armed with an impressive 22-2 record over the past three months.
That did not deter 2019 Charleston champion Keys, who won her second career clay-court crown, improving to 11-3 on dirt in 2024.
