Matteo Berrettini took out Stefanos Tsitsipas en route to his ninth career title at Gstaad last week. This week, the 28-year-old Italian is showing no signs of slowing down.

He upended second-seeded Alejandro Tabilo on Wednesday in Kitzbuhel, 7-6(4), 7-6(5), then took out American Nicolas Moreno de Alboran 7-6(5), 6-3 to make it back to back finals on the clay.

Berrettini, who will face Yannick Hanfmann in the semifinals, improves to 13-1 on clay in 2024.

Berrettini was outside of the Top-150 in March but is now ranked 50 after his title run in Gstaad (he's at No.46 in the live rankings). Berrettini fired seven aces and won 42 of 47 first-serve points as he save all three break points he faced. He has won eight matches on the trot.

"I fought hard and I’m really happy because I think the level in the second set was better than the first," Berrettini said.

Hugo Gaston, who saved a pair of match points to defeat top-seeded Sebastian Baez, will face Argentina's Facundo Diaz Acosta in the top half semifinal.
