Coco Gauff continued her winning ways at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, scoring a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Varvara Gracheva of France to reach the semifinals.
Gauff needed just 53 minutes to stretch her winning streak to eight in Auckland – she won last year’s title without dropping a set and has yet to drop a set this week as well, dropping just 11 games through three victories.
Gauff will face rising American Emma Navarro in the semis – 31st ranked Navarro topped Croatia’s Petra Martic 6-4, 6-3.
19-year-old Gauff dropped just 11 points on serve and never faced a break point in the contest. She hit five aces, made 72.5 percent of her first-serves, and won 8 of 11 second-serve points.
"I thought I served really well, probably the best so far this tournament," Gauff said, "which was something I was working really hard on in the off-season."
Third-ranked Gauff, the 2023 US Open champion, has dropped 33 games in her last eight matches at Auckland.
