Swiatek surged through nine straight games crushing Laura Siegemund 6-0, 6-1 to capture her 15th career championship before home fans in Warsaw.

"I want to thank my team and my family," Swiatek said afterward. "It's not easy to play in Warsaw, but I'm so happy that we could manage and do everything we could today, after a pretty tiring day yesterday.

"I wanted to put it all in and go for it. I'm pretty happy that I did."

It is the reigning Roland Garros and US Open champion's fourth title of the year following her successful French Open title defense, and championships in Stuttgart and Doha.

The top-seeded Swiatek started Sunday's day of play completing her 6-1, 7-6(6) semifinal win over former US Open semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer.

That match began yesterday and was suspended on Saturday night due to darkness with Swiatek holding a 6-1, 5-5 lead.

A year ago, Swiatek lost in the Warsaw quarterfinals to eventual-champion Caroline Garcia.

Determined to make a mark on her home tournament this year, Swiatek did not surrender a set in tournament victories over Nigina Abduraimova, Claire Liu, No. 8-seeded Linda Noskova, Wickmayer and Siegemund in a lopsided final.

Terrorizing the Siegemund second serve, Swiatek won all 11 points played on the 153rd-ranked German's second delivery and won 25 of the 43 points played on Siegemund's serve in a 68-minute thrashing.
