Stefanos Tsitsipas claimed his 10th ATP title and his first of 2023 on Saturday night in Los Cabos, dispatching a familiar foe for the tenth consecutive time.
The Greek remained undefeated (10-0) against Aussie Alex de Minaur, notching a 6-3, 6-4 win over the World No.19 in one hour and 26 minutes.
“I feel like it was a great match," Tsitsipas said. "Alex showed great tennis, I tried to keep up with the level as much as I could. I’m really happy we were able to deliver a great final today."
Tsitsipas, 24, improves to 39-13 on the season – he will rise a spot to No.4 in Monday’s ATP rankings.
Tsitsipas has won his last ten sets against De Minaur. He drops just one set and takes home $129,660 in prize money for his efforts.
Tsitsipas defeated John Isner, Nicolas Jarry, Borna Coric and De Minaur en route to the title.
