Former and present coaches of Simona Halep took to Instagram to vehemently show their support of the Romanian this week.

Darren Cahill and Patrick Mouratoglou, former and present coaches of Simona Halep, have come out strongly in support of the Romanian after she revealed the news that she is provisionally suspended for producing a positive anti-doping test at the US Open.
“Firstly, and most importantly, there is NO chance Simona knowingly or purposely took any substance on the banned list. None. Zero,” Cahill, the longtime and former coach of Halep wrote on Instagram.
The Aussie went on to detail the strict observance of the rules that he witnessed while coaching Halep.
Cahill added that, in his opinion, Halep’s integrity is top-notch.
“Simona’s integrity is faultless, she respects her peers, she loves the game and she always has her feet firmly planted on the ground as a humble, approachable champion,” he wrote. “I have sat proudly in awe of the person that she has matured into, watching the compassion she has shown others. I’m not talking about the stuff that the tennis world gets to see, I’m speaking about the kindness and care that very few are fortunate to experience. The kind of actions that are done for love and not for publicity.”
Mouratoglou, who began work with Halep this summer, had strong words of support for Halep as well.
“Since Simona’s positive test last week, I have chosen to stay relatively silent,” he said. “My priority has been to put my energy into helping her and supporting her in establishing the truth every day. Knowing Simona so well, I can assure you that she is a model of integrity. She is totally against any form of doping, and I know that it has never crossed her mind to take any forbidden substance.
"I trust her 100 percent. Together, we will fight to prove the truth.”
