It is the ninth straight win for Pera, including two qualifying victories en route to her first WTA title in Budapest last week. All nine of Pera's wins have come in straight sets.
The surging world No. 81 will face Katerina Siniakova for a semifinal spot.
Wimbledon doubles champion Siniakova stopped Laura Pigossi by the same 6-1, 6-1 score to reach her first quarterfinal since Cleveland last August where she lost a tight three-setter to Anett Kontaveit.
Today, the top-seeded Kontaveit raced past Rebecca Peterson 6-3, 6-2.
World No. 2 Kontaveit will play eighth-seeded German Andrea Petkovic for a place in the final four.
