Alison Van Uytvanck: unstoppable in finals.

The Belgian claimed her fourth WTA title from four final appearances on Saturday in Tashkent, defeating Sorana Cirstea 6-2 4-6 6-4.

Van Uytvanck claims her second title of 2019 and denies Cirstea a first WTA title in over 11 years with the hard-fought two hour and 24-minute triumph.

It was smooth sailing for Van Uytvanck in the opening set as she broke in the opening game and never faced a break point. Van Uytvanck cracked 11 winners to just four unforced errors in the opening set, but Cirstea leveled up the high quality affair by breaking for the set after a trade of breaks in the second—that marked the first set that Van Uytvanck had dropped all week.

The tide of the match turned early in the third set when a stubborn Van Uytvanck saved six break points and survived a 10-deuce game to hold for 1-1 in the opener. She would break for 2-1 in the next game as a Cirstea backhand sailed long.

The high quality tennis continued and Cirstea did her very best to earn the break back but it was not to be.

Van Uytvanck ended up saving all eight break points she faced in the set and after Cirstea bravely saved four championship points with the Belgian serving at 5-4, Van Uytvanck finally clinched the title.
