Former World No.7 ATP singles player and longtime coach Peter McNamara has passed away at the age of 64.

Former ATP World No.7 and three-time major doubles champion Peter McNamara has passed away, he was 64.
McNamara, a Melbourne, Australia native, most recently coached China’s Wang Qiang before stepping away from his duties due to health reasons in February.
He passed away peacefully at his home in Germany after a long bout with Prostate cancer.
During his playing career McNamara won five ATP singles titles and 205 ATP matches; he also won 19 doubles crowns and 239 doubles matches--he won the Wimbledon doubles trophy in 1980 and 1982 and the Australian Open title in 1979 with longtime partner Paul McNamee.
After his playing career ended McNamara would coach ATP stars Mark Philippoussis, Grigor Dimitrov and Matthew Ebden as well as WTA star Wang Qiang.
