Garbiñe Muguruza powered past Ana Bogdan in Monterrey to reach her second final of 2018, 6-0, 7-5.
The World No.3 has yet to drop a set and has only lost 15 games at the event.
She saved six of seven break points and won 16 of 24 second-serve return points in her first meeting with the World No.90.
Muguruza will bid for her sixth career title on Sunday when she meets fourth-seeded Timea Babos. The Hungarian improved to 14-7 on the season with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over American Sachia Vickery.
Muguruza has won all three tour-level meetings between the pair in straight sets.
