Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Each day at Tennis Now we’ll give you a fresh set—without any further ado, here’s what happened in Monte-Carlo on Wednesday.

64-1

Rafael Nadal’s current record at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. Since he first played the event in 2005, he has won in every year except for 2013 through 2015. Nadal needs to win it again this year in order to remain No.1 in the world. If he does not, Roger Federer will return to No.1 next week.

The Spaniard dashed past Aljaz Bedene 6-1, 6-3, to book a third-round clash with Karen Khachanov. It was Nadal’s first ATP match since the Australian Open, though he did play a few weekends ago in Davis Cup when he defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber and Alexander Zverev in back-to-back matches.

Nadal improves to a ridiculous 392-35 on clay with the win. He is bidding for his 54th title on clay this week in Monte-Carlo. His 53 clay titles are most all-time.

10

Number of match points needed by Novak Djokovic to close off Borna Coric on Wednesday. The Serb had seven in a row in a wild game that saw him broken for 5-5 in set two. But he broke back in the next game and completed a satisfying 7-6(2), 7-5 win. Djokovic improved to 32-9 lifetime at Monte-Carlo. See all of those 10 match points below.

499

Number of career wins by Richard Gasquet, who is bidding to become the first Frenchman in Open Era history to reach 500 wins at Monte-Carlo. Fernando Verdasco fell short on Tuesday in a bid for career win No.500, while Fabio Fognini fell short in his bid for career win 300.

9

Number of seeded players that have advanced to the round of 16 at Monte-Carlo. The highest seed to fall so far has been No.7 Lucas Pouille.
