Flavia Pennetta says goodbye to tennis, ending a legendary career and producing an outpouring of love.

A smattering of twitter highlights as Flavia Pennetta’s career comes to an end in Singapore.
1. Flavia won four Fed Cups with Team Italy over the course of her career.
2. She was also a doubles Grand Slam champion.
3. Even the new kids on tour loved her!
4. Pennetta achieved the No. 1 ranking in doubles, as well as becoming the first Italian woman to reach the Top-10 in singles.
5. Pennetta was 25-5 in Fed Cup and helped Italy win four titles.

7. More than just a player, she was a PERSONALITY!
8. She was amazing in N.Y. Pennetta reached four quarterfinals andn a semifinal before breaking through and winning the title this year.
