Flushing Meadows, NY—(Press Release Via USTA) The US Open raised $2 million in crisis relief for Ukraine through its collection of fundraising efforts throughout the 2022 event, starting with the Tennis Plays for Peace exhibition during Fan Week and continuing with donations from the US Open's corporate partners, the USTA, fans and private donors. All funds raised were donated to GlobalGiving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, which supports humanitarian assistance in impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions where Ukrainian refugees have fled. The Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund has been the official charity of the Tennis Plays for Peace initiative, launched by the sport's seven governing bodies in March in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
