Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Sam Sumyk are working together at this week’s Toray Pan Pacific Open in Osaka.
The Frenchman, who formerly coached Victoria Azarenka to both of her Grand Slam singles titles, stopped working with Garbiñe Muguruza after a four-year partnership in July. The pair won two majors together but Muguruza was coached by Conchita Martinez while Sumyk was away with family during her second major title run at Wimbledon in 2017.
Pavlyuchenkova was working with Rob Steckley, until recently.
The Russian, ranked 41 in the WTA, defeated Dayana Yastremska in first-round action at Osaka on Monday.
