NEW YORK—Babolat launched the Pure Strike in the commuter capital of New York City.

Cameron Norrie and Eliot Spizzirri were on hand for the official launch of the third generation of the Babolat Pure Strike, which officially launched at the Vanderbilt Tennis Club located on the fourth floor of the iconic Grand Central Terminal.

The brand promotes the third generation as a precision instrument "that combines dynamic control with intact feel and unbeatable responsiveness for offensive performance players."




Here's what two-time Roland Garros finalist Dominic Thiem, who plays with the stick, had to say about the Pure Strike.

Over 100 Babolat ambassadors, including Thiem, helped develop and test the racquet by providing feedback at key milestones in the development and cosmetic design process.

"Today’s avid competitors want to take big swings with precision, so ball feel at impact is key,” said Alex Israel, Babolat tennis category manager. “Players need to trust that their racquet will provide the necessary feel, stability and responsiveness to meet their expectations–to be the perfect extension of their arm.”

Compared to the previous Pure Strike, the brand touts "71 percent reported better feel at impact and 78 percent reported more control."

"It feels really stable in my hand when I’m playing, gives great control but also a lot of power," Thiem said. "It’s perfect."
