Rafael Nadal has won the 2017 U.S. Open. The 31-year-old Spaniard defeated Kevin Anderson, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4, to claim his third U.S. Open and 16th Grand Slam title.

Nadal was dominant from the start. He dropped only 15 points on serve and did not face a break point. He won 15 of 15 points at net and struck 30 winners against just 11 unforced errors.

Nadal becomes just the seventh ATP player to have won multiple titles since turning 30 with the win. He joins an exclusive club that also features Rod Laver, Ken Rosewell, Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Stan Wawrinka and Jimmy Connors.
