Losing her US Open quarterfinal to CoCo Vandeweghe will cost Karolina Pliskova the world No. 1 ranking.
Garbiñe Muguruza will replace Pliskova as the 24th woman in history to hold the WTA's top spot when the new rankings are released on Monday.

Pliskova isn't exactly stressing the slide to No. 2.
"I mean, I don't care," Pliskova said of losing No. 1. "I don't think something is going to change if you are No. 2. Like, I don't see any difference between this. So for me, no changes."
The 2016 US Open finalist said her eight-week reign at the top was too brief to experience any major life changes.
"Like I said, I don't think something change," Pliskova said. "I was there for a few weeks. Maybe if you are there for one year, it's different. But like this, not."
