Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

We knew French tennis had talent, but we didn't know it had this much, or this type, of talent.

Coach Yannick Noah had to cringe when his injured star Gael Monfils went up for a dunk during the latest (first?) episode of France has talent!, but the coach gave LaMonf a ten in this wildly funny segment, produced by DavisCup.com, ahead of France’s tie with Croatia this weekend.

Noah plays judge, and answers hilariously to host Eli Weinstein, setting the tone by saying "I'm gonna send them to hell."

More Notes:

Pierre-Hugues Herbert
should have gotten an 11 for his juggling spectacle, and Richard Gasquet should be booted off the team for whatever he did. What did he do? Threw a ball in the vicinity of a basket and pulled his owns pants down, that’s what he did. Thankfully, Gasquet jumped on the couch to hide himself while Captain Noah tried to make sense of the madness.

France may not be the most talented team in the world, but it’s clear that they do have talent. Will it be enough to get them into the Davis Cup final?
