Watching defending Pan Pacific Open champion Ana Ivanovic follow a slice backhand forward, skip to the side, then completely reverse course to pull of this improvised piece of passing brilliance.

The shot, which came at 4-4 in the opening set, seemed to spark Ivanovic. She won nine of the next 12 games defeating Camila Giorgi, 7-5, 6-2, to reach the Tokyo quarterfinals.
