Del Potro won his first grand slam title at the 2009 US Open when he defeated heavily favored Federer. Del Potro didn’t compete in last year’s US Open due to a wrist injury but this year he’s back and possibly ready to defend his title. Here's a look at what he’s wearing.
 
Del Potro’s last appearance at the US Open certainly ended in a showdown. This year he’s wearing the Nike Men’s Showdown Frequency Top in “sonic yellow” with black accents. Complete with Nike’s Dri-FIT technology to wick away moisture, this top is ready for a long match. Del Potro is pairing the Nike Showdown Woven Taped Shorts, also with Dri-FIT technology and mesh for even more breathability. To top off this look, Del Potro added a black Nike bandana, and super absorbent Nike Double Wide Wristbands.

Del Potro’s shoes of choice are the Nike Zoom Breathe 2K11’s. An update on last year’s model, the Zoom Breathe 2K11’s feature Drag-on X technology for ultimate performance, as well as Lunarlon technology for a flexible step, and a Nike Zoom unit in the heel for responsive cushioning.
