Taylor Fritz is going to Turin!
The California kid became the fifth player to qualify for this year’s Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, thanks to Andrey Rublev’s loss to Francisco Cerundolo in Paris on Tuesday.
Fritz, who turned 27 on October 28, will make his second appearance at the ATP’s prestigious year-end championships. He reached the semifinals on his debut in 2022.
Fritz is 49-20 on the season with a pair of titles and a trip to the US Open final, where he became the first American man to reach a Grand Slam final since 2009.
Three spots are still unclaimed for the ATP Finals. Novak Djokovic, Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev currently hold the spots, but others, such as Alex de Minaur, Grigor Dimitrov and Stefanos Tsitsipas still have hope
Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe have been eliminated from the race with their first-round losses in Paris.
