Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva are going to Cancun!
The veteran duo claimed the title at the Jianxi Open in Nanchang, China this weekend to qualify for the eight-team field at the eleventh hour, passing Leylah Fernandez and Taylor Townsend for the eighth and final spot.
The Russian/German duo will make their WTA Finals debut.
Per the WTA, both Siegemund and Zvonareva will be making their debut appearance in doubles at the WTA Finals, and will join the teams of Coco Gauff/ Jessica Pegula, Storm Hunter/ Elise Mertens, Barbora Krejcikova/ Katerina Siniakova, Demi Schuurs/ Desirae Krawczyk, Shuko Aoyama/ Ena Shibahara, Gabriela Dabrowski/ Erin Routliffe, and Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez in the doubles draw. </br></br>
Leylah Fernandez and Taylor Townsend will serve as the alternate team in Cancun, Mexico.
Earlier this month the singles field was confirmed as well.
