17-year-old Borna Coric reached his second ATP quarterfinal of 2014 with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Andrey Golubev on Thursday in Basel, setting up a quarterfinal clash with 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal.

“He's an unbelievable tennis player,” Coric said, according to the ATP. “It's a privilege to play against him. I hope I can play as best as I can and we'll see what happens.”

With his victory on Thursday, Coric becomes the first 17-year-old to reach multiple ATP quarterfinals in the same season since Rafael Nadal did so in 2003.

Coric will enter the ATP’s top 100 for the first time next week if he can somehow find a way to get by Nadal.
