Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

By Nick Georgandis

The sounds of tennis are often not the sweetest of things - grunts and shrieks, groans and gasps.

But given the proper sampling and the right artist, tennis can be played as sweet music, and that's exactly what French DJ 20syl has done to help promote the upcoming Paribas Masters in Paris.

Sampling thousands of sounds from the tennis court - squeaks of shoes, balls hitting racquets and nets, even the public address announcer, 20syl concocted a 90-second song that could easily slide its way into the rotation at any dance club.

The song's creation is sponsored by the French Federation of Tennis. To check out the sounds and the accompanying video, click here.
