Nadal: I'm Going to Die For It
The 2023 season launches the last week of December with the United Cup, a new mixed-team international event featuring men and women stars. The event, which recalls the ITF's Hopman Cup, is a partnership between the WTA, ATP and Tennis Australia and will be contested in Brisbane, Perth, which previously hosted Hopman Cup, and Sydney.
The Australian Open, the season's first Grand Slam, is set for January 16-29th.
The Tour adds new 250-level tournaments in Austin, Texas and Merida, Mexico—both taking place in February.
“As the WTA celebrates its 50th anniversary, the 2023 calendar showcases the incredible breadth and reach of women’s tennis,” said Steve Simon, WTA Chairman and CEO. “We are excited and proud to showcase our amazing events to our global audience of over 900 million fans, with tournaments in six continents and over 20 countries from January to early September.”
