The benefit raised over $1.1 million, with proceeds going to the fight against ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Honorees included former U.S. Davis Cup captain and current ESPN analyst Patrick McEnroe, New York Mets manager Terry Collins, New York Met pitcher Matt Harvey and Miami Marlin (and former New York Yankee) outfielder Ichiro Suzuki.

“We are so thankful for everyone’s continued support," said Judi Brown, President & CEO of the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter. “We are honored by their commitment to help us with our mission of providing care for our patients and their families and funding research to find a cure for this horrible disease.”

The Jacob K. Javits Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Brian Cashman, General Manager of the New York Yankees.

Jeremy Schaap served as the master of ceremonies with Howard Cross serving as auctioneer. Additional guests included legendary former New York Met Ed Kranepool, Mickey Rivers, Roy White and Pat Kelly, all former New York Yankees, and Roger Lewis and Brad Wing, both with the New York Giants.

The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter plays a major role in promoting the mission to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.

The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS.  ALSA is a member of the National Health Council.
