Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

The Bryan Brothers won their 10th title of 2014, and their fourth at the ATP World Tour finals, to cap off a season that saw them win their record 100th title as a team and claim the ATP’s No. 1 year-end doubles ranking for a tenth time.

Fed and Wawrinka Feuding?

In other words, it’s getting more and more difficult to find flaw with what everybody considers to be the best and most dominant doubles team of all-time. Oh, wait a minute, there was one thing…

This errant serve by Bob Bryan, which thunked off his brother Mike’s noggin for a fault, was pretty darn ugly. The Bryans won the match in three sets over Marceo Melo and Ivan Dodig, but they nearly lost one half of their team in this humorous, but dangerous play.
