Playing in the Knoxville Challenger doubles semifinals on Saturday, Hunter Reese (2014 NCAA doubles champion) hit the shot of a lifetime in the second set of his team’s battle against Alex Kuznetsov and Edward Corrie.

The around-the-netpost gem (see vids above and below) brought out the ham in Reese, as he celebrated with his arms spread, albatross style, and it also brought out the sportsmanship of his opponents, who were happy to burst into applause as well (seriously, it was as if they believed THEY had hit the shot).
Eventually, the shot went viral on YouTube (sort of, though it could use some more hits) and on Twitter, and it led to Reese enjoying a mention on Sportscenter’s top plays.
Reese and partner Mikelis Libietis won 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the finals in Knoxville.
