Australia's Samantha Stosur, who slid out of the Top 10 to No. 18 in the world at the end of 2013, has hired Miles Maclagan as her new coach.
Maclagan formerly coached Andy Murray until 2010. Until recently, he coached the UK's Laura Robson.
Stosur, the 2011 US Open champion, finished in the Top 10 each of the last three seasons.
She limped out of the gate in 2013, losing in the second round of the Australian Open and the third rounds of both the French Open and Wimbledon. She rebounded to win at Carlsbad, defeating Victoria Azarenka in the final, but was upended in the first round of the US Open by No. 296 Victoria Duval.
