A cranky elbow injury continues to sideline Barbora Krejcikova.

The world No. 2 will not defend her Strasbourg title next week putting her Roland Garros title defense in doubt.

A year ago, Krejcikova beat Sorana Cirstea to win her maiden singles title in Strasbourg. Krejcikova went on to sweep singles and doubles championships at Roland Garros.



The 26-year-old Czech has been sidelined since February due to the elbow injury.

Krejcikova has posted a 9-4 record in 2022, including a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Jelena Ostapenko in her last match in Doha.
