The world No. 1 lost the first set he ever played against Bolelli back at the 2009 Rotterdam event.
Since then, Nadal has tormented Bolelli's one-handed backhand winning 11 straight sets and holding a 5-0 winning record over the 130th-ranked Italian, including a 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 thrashing at the 2012 French Open.
