Haase Docked a Point for Imitating Opponent’s Grunt
Well, you just had to be there. Or, you had to see it on YouTube. However you got a hold of this strange but hilarious video of
Robin Haase
getting docked a point for a hindrance when he imitates the grunting of
Gonzalo Lama
, you probably agree that you got your money’s worth.
Of course, the question that everybody wants to ask (but we all know the answer to) is: Why is Haase penalized for doing something once that Lama is doing on ever single stroke? So, annoying, over-the-top grunting is fine, as long as you don’t do it mockingly? Ah, it’s useless to debate or argue. It’s better to just simply laugh.
Hopefully the sun will come out on Wednesday and we’ll all be watching Roland Garros anyway…
P.S. Lama grunted his way to a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the Prostejov Challenger.
