Radwanska’s Dress Makes Noise, but Game Remains Meek

Agnieszka Radwanska made quite a buzz in her Lotto “disco” dress, which was shiny like a mirrorball even on a relatively drab day in Paris, but her game still came off as dull.

The No. 14 seed fell in first-round action to Annika Beck of Germany, a player she had double-bageled in their last meeting.

“That was two years ago and different conditions,” Radwanska said, after falling, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1. “Shouldn't really compare anything. Of course it was quite different match than the other one, but she was playing quite well.”

Meanwhile, the talk on Twitter focused more on the Poles dress than her lack of her best form.

No word on whether Radwanska will continue to wear the dress for grass season, but the former Wimbledon finalist is looking forward to getting off the clay nonetheless. “Well, clay season is not really my favorite one, and I guess it's not getting better, even when I'm really trying to do everything,” she said. “So I just want to forget about that and focus on grass, I guess.”
