WTA rising star Elina Svitolina cracked the Top 20 and an additional milestone on Monday, tying compatriot Alona Bondarenka as the highest-ranked woman in the history of her country at No. 19.

With zero points to defend in Rome, Svitolina could surpass Bondarenko after this week’s Internazionali BNL D’italia. She’ll meet Flavia Pennetta in the first round on Tuesday. Pennetta won their only previous meeting in straight sets in Strasbourg in 2013.
