Serena Williams Says Australian Open's Hardware is More Attractive than Wimbledon's

In a Q and A with Courtney Nguyen of Sports Illustrated, Serena Williams says that she likes her Australian Open hardware even more than Wimbledon's fabled Venus Rosewater dish.

"I’m going to go with the Australian Open [the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup]," said Williams. "It’s not classic, it’s cool. The bottom is thin and when you’re holding it, it’s just beautiful. Obviously, the Venus Rosewater Dish is beautiful, too, but I’m going with Australia."

Williams, in Rome for this year's Internazionali BNL d'Italia, has earned five of each trophy, so she's pretty much an expert on the topic.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion also covered a host of other topics with Nguyen, such as her father Richard's new book, her love of the tennis life ("It’s never about any one person; it’s about everyone together."), Snapchat, and her favorite drink at Starbucks (A venti vanilla soy latte, sugar-free, quad shot, extra hot).
