After missing this year's Mutua Madrid Open to be with his wife as she gave birth to the couples second set of twins, 32-year-old father of four Roger Federer has arrived to play this year's Internazionali BNL d'Italia. "I feel like I need the matches," said Federer. "I wanted to get the clay-court season going."
Federer, who took time to train at home in Switzerland last week with rising Australian star Nick Kyrgios, is a three-time finalist (2003, 2006, 2013) at the event. He has been drawn to face France's Jeremy Chardy in the second round, and could face Italian hope Fabio Fognini in the third round.
Naturally, fans were a little excited.
