So apparently the formula goes: Knock off the #1 player in the world, get to smooch with Maria Sharapova in public on the streets of Madrid.
Who else just started filling out their application to join the ATP tour?
A day after 21-year-old Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov defeated Novak Djokovic at the Madrid Open, he was captured on film snuggling and kissing long-rumored girlfriend Sharapova, the No. 2 player on the WTA tour, while out for a stroll.
The 26-year-old Sharapova was formerly engaged to basketball player Sasha Vujacic, but called it off in the spring of 2012.
Dimitrov is back in action tomorrow to take on 15th-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka in the third round.
Sharapova, seeded No. 2 in the women's draw, is through to the quarterfinals and will take on Kaia Kanepi next.
