Second Serve

The tennis court can be a battle ground for the stars.

The Monterrey player party was a play ground for super heroes.

Reigning Monterrey champion Ana Ivanovic brought out the black leather and whip to her Catwoman costume.

Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova came clad as Captain America. Kristina Mladenovic shined behind a black mask. Serbia's Jovana Jaksic, the 2014 Monterrey runner-up, made a statement returning as Wonder Woman.

A year ago, Ivanovic and Jaksic made history in Monterrey contesting the first all-Serbian WTA final in Monterrey.

Players came together for the tournament's We Can Be Heroes campaign.

The pair could create another historic clash this week. If the top-seeded Ivanovic and wild card Jaksic square off in the semifinals, it would be the first-ever WTA Clash between Catwoman and Wonder Woman and could compel Batman to come out of retirement and serve as chair umpire.

The pair turned the streets of Monterrey into a tennis musical festival.

Watch Ivanovic and Jaksic draw a massive crowd playing street tennis, drumming to the blasting beat of the Bastille hit "Pompeii" and showing off their dance moves before posing with fans for selfies.
