Jurgen Melzer’s double skills came in handy during this rapid-fire rally with Ryan Harrison during today’s 1st-round Miami Open action. Melzer reacted quickly after Harrison batted a backhand right at his noggin, but Harrison was there to stab his reply right out of the air.

Not to be outdone, Melzer answers the bell yet again, sticking out his racquet and lofting a perfect lob high and deep into the far corner.

Our guess is that the two-time Grand Slam doubles champion was laughing a little bit on the inside as he watched Harrison chase it down to no avail.

Melzer advanced, 7-6(3), 6-3, and will face France’s Jeremy Chardy in the second round.
