20-year-old Thiago Seyboth Wild of Brazil has contracted Covid-19. The Brazilian, who won his first career title at Santiago in February, made the announcement on social media on Tuesday.
“I’ve contracted the Covid-19, but I’ve self-isolated myself for the past week,” Seyboth Wild said. “I’ve been taking care of myself and following the doctor’s instructions. This is just a reminder for you all to stay at home, to take care of the people you love and help us out to not spread this disease—stay home and stay safe.”
The Brazilian, ranked 114 in the world, is the first professional tennis player to test positive for Coronavirus.
